Recently, Guangzhou Badminton Management Center, together with the World Badminton Federation and its delegation, went to the swimming pool in the western suburbs, Xiaogang Park, Tianhe Sports Center and other places to carry out field surveys on the site selection of new projects - outdoor badminton venues, in order to strive for the new outdoor badminton venues promoted by the World Badminton Federation to settle in Guangzhou.

In May this year, the World Badminton Federation Outdoor Badminton World Congress was held in the southwest square of Guangzhou Tianhe Sports Center. A new outdoor sport, the World Badminton Federation Outdoor Badminton, and the special ball for this sport, outdoor badminton, were officially launched.

Taking this opportunity, our city has further strengthened the communication with the World Badminton Federation, striving to set the world's first brand new outdoor badminton venue in Guangzhou. At present, the new badminton courts implemented by the World Badminton Federation include hard courts, sand, grass, etc.

Any park, garden, street, playground and beach can be used as a badminton court. The outdoor badminton used is a newly developed new type of badminton, which can better adapt to outdoor sports and overcome the influence of external factors such as wind on outdoor badminton.

The World Badminton Federation confirmed the results of this field survey and conference survey, and initially decided to establish an outdoor badminton court in Guangzhou. Site construction is limited, while the use of outdoor sites is unlimited.

Guangzhou Sports Bureau has been committed to promoting the vigorous development of mass sports.
